We don't often start by talking about other sports,

but from time to time, I find it illuminating

to bring up some example of something that happened to another sport

and kind of compare contrast, look for comps in baseball.

And I was thinking of that in the wake of the Aaron Rogers entry

for the jets in their first game of the season.

So Rogers, of course, was this much hyped off-season edition

for the jets who were featured on hard knocks

because of the hype about Rogers.

And, of course, Rogers is perhaps passed his prime.

There were questions about how good he would be anyway

or how good the jets would be with Rogers.
