There was a time briefly earlier this month where it seemed like the podra's might have a spending constraint

That they might have drawn the line somewhere

And it turns out that that is not the case

If they have drawn the line it's invisible and we can't detect where it is

But we never talked about many Machado when it looked like for an instant there

He might not sign an extension with the podra's because supposedly there was a deadline that he had set of February 16th

And if they didn't get a deal done by then and they weren't going to get a deal done

And he said that he was going to opt out after the season

So it looked for a little while there like he actually was going to be gone or at least was going to opt out

But we didn't banter about it I didn't bring it up because I just had a sense

You know that this might be still a developing story

I don't want to count the podra's out here when it comes to spending on someone

And that proved prudent because the podra's did indeed extend many Machado
