The The All right, guys, well, we're back with another episode of the endless endeavor podcast this is the

second episode that i've recorded while driving a vehicle uh me and lapin did one damn it's probably

been four years ago or something we were i don't even remember what we were doing but we had a long

like four or five hour drive and we broke out

the recorder and we did a on the road episode

and that's what we're doing today as well

because we are I mean it is Monday afternoon

and we are slotted to leave on the Roe West expedition

on Wednesday morning.

So we're running out of time.

And we had the boat in the marina this morning.

I pulled it out.

And as we were removing the rudder, we had another issue.

And it cracked the fiberglass.

So now the day that was supposed to be allocated to

recording in the studio with you guys, I have a two-hour drive to get the rudder repaired. But such is life, right?

I felt that initial frustration when I saw it pop out. It hit the, well, just explain it. The rudder

affixes to the boat through the bottom and we

got back to the dock and we were or got back to the boat launch we're getting ready to pull the

boat and you push the rudder out from inside of the boat it is neutrally buoyant it floats and so

once it pops out it floats up to the surface and you just pull it out and when you do that you tie a little piece of 550 cord to it obviously so you don't lose it and as it popped up the edge of it collided with the bottom of the dock and it chipped it so off off to the fiberglass repair shop we go.
