You know what? I really considered introducing you as the rash that doesn't go away,

but I didn't want to insult you right off the bat.

No, I've been really enjoying the series that we're doing on basically medieval monarchs and as we're traveling through time.

And I look forward to recording with you every week and can't wait to see what I find out about each of these kings and their families as we go along on the journey.

And last week we talked about Edward II.

And, well, we didn't quite finish.

We ran out of time.

And so I'm kind of excited to pick up where we left off because at the end of the last episode,

Everett II had been deposed, he recognized his

faults as a king and said, this is who I am. And I was just, I don't know, I'm still so touched by

that whole thing that he was willing to recognize that to see his own faults. But that's kind of where we left off.

So where do you want to start?

You might reasonably expect that to be the end of Edward the second story,

except that it isn't.
