We're here this afternoon with two guests, Andrea Naze.

Who's come here from Colorado, from Hygiene, Colorado,

where he's the co-editor of perhaps the most exciting literary press in America right now,

the Eridanos Press, who published the Eridonos Library, about which we'll be hearing more.

We'll also be talking to D.B. Finnegan, who is the director, the new director of the Beyond Baroque Foundation,

the Literary Arts Foundation in Venice,

and I'm really pleased to have both of them in the studio

because in different ways they have, or their organizations,

have had a big effect on my life and the life of readers

in the case of Eridanos, across America,

in the case of Beyond Baroque throughout Los Angeles. Andrea Nazi is the co-publisher of the Eradanos Press. Can you tell me

where does Eridanos get its name from? Well, the name of Edidonos came both Juan Garcia,

who's my partner and I were great admirers of Malcolm Lorry, and Eridanos was born from the pages of under the volcano, as a matter of fact. And the Eridanos is the river of life and of death. There's a symbol that appears in Laurie's pages a lot. And so we like that name. Plus, I'm from Torino in Italy, and the river Poe is Eridanos as well.

And so that's where it came from.

Ah, now the Eridanos Press has what might be considered by many to be an esoteric name
