Summary

Interview with Peter May, Founder and President of Research Casting International.

A new Australian sauropod Savannasaurus elliottorum as well as the first sauropod skull from Australia were found, a "flock" of Avimimus, fossilized iguanodontian brain, Dinovember returns, and more. Also dinosaur of the day Edmontonia, a nodosaur found in the Edmonton Formation in Canada that had shoulder spikes.

So jumping right into the news, there's a new sauropod from Australia named Savannosaurus Elliot Torum.

And the name comes from Savannah, referring to the countryside where the specimen was found. And the species name is in honor of the Elliott family for, quote, their ongoing contributions to Australian paleontology, end quote.

So pretty cool.

They uncovered at least eight vertebrae, several ribs, and pieces of legs, feet, hips, and scapula, which is kind of like a shoulder blade.
