And like I say, I hope that your world is reasonably sorted and reasonably stable as we come

to the end of what has been a particularly unstable year in a whole convolution of ways.

That's the right word.

Whether here in London, you don't want to know.

It's looking every inch like a November day outside.

But the great thing about it is, here in the Northern Hemisphere, once we get to the 21st

of December, the days are getting longer and we're looking towards spring then.

You know, I always think of it in terms of get through December 21st.

Before you know it, it's the end of January and before you know that, it's March and then

it's spring and we can forget all about the rubbish weather.

I think that's the only way I've coped with it all my life.

But you know, I'm no better, even though winter has seemed to be warmer these days, I am

no better at coping with winter than I used to be.

You'd have thought that after all these years I'd have learned, but no, I haven't.
