I'm catching up with all of them right now after the last crazy couple of weeks.

I think I'm beginning to find myself again.

Of course, we are still in the middle as I record this of a massive heat wave.

So if I don't quite sound like me, it is because I have never had to record in temperatures

this high before.

And if I tell you the paper that I'm holding at the moment with notes for the conversation

with the guest we're about to speak to is actually covered in perspiration.

I've never known wherever I've worked.

I have never known anything quite like it.

Of course, in our homes here, you're probably laughing if you're listening in the US, but

in our homes here in the UK, we don't have air conditioning.

It's not something that we've ever needed here.

You know, mostly we need protection from the rain and our winters used to be quite cold.

They're not anymore.

So this is the weirdest thing and a weather record was broken yesterday and that was for

the longest consecutive period for years.

I think 60 years or so of temperatures at more than 34 Celsius, which is I think somewhere

in the mid 90s ish Fahrenheit.

So that is just staggering.
