My apologies, whatever bug that I've had recently, that has been on my chest, is still making me kind of chesty and a little horse, if you can hear that, maybe it's subtle, but I'm still aware of it.

I've had some really nice emails recently, and just when I thought that the unexplained maybe had reached peak unexplained, and as many people who were going to find the show have found it, I've had a whole raft recently of new people getting in touch and telling me how they use the show and what it means to them.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking we've had a lot of UFO and kind of space-related shows recently.

You know, sometimes we get spates of them, it's just how the guest booking goes, and the fact that some people are available at a particular time, and it's good to get them on.

And plus, I have to say, just being selfish, I love these topics. They were so much beloved of the great Art Bell when he was doing shows.

And indeed, we are going to talk about a topic that he was instrumental in breaking, well, maybe certainly in disseminating to the world.

I'm talking about the Phoenix Lights.

I will remember the Phoenix Lights as something that Art Bell was talking about a year after they happened, and many years after they happened.

You know, they were a series of phenomena, so strange, so bizarre, and in some ways so chilling, that I don't think those people who experience them, and those people who've been investigating them, have still managed to get their heads around the enormity of what apparently occurred,

and what might have been behind what occurred on the night, but other nights also, there was one report of something kicking all of this off 24 hours before what we see as being the official start of the Phoenix Lights.

It is a mishmash of phenomena and reports and eyewitness accounts and audio and video that people have taken over the years.

Lin Kite was on this show probably, I think, eight or nine years ago, and we did quite a long show about the Phoenix Lights, and I was very impressed by her as somebody who'd experienced this phenomena ongoing we have to say, which was a surprise to me at the time.

And what I wanted to do was to bring her back now on this edition and revisit what we know about it, how we interpret it now, and what may have happened in the intervening years, and certainly the years since last we spoke, so that's what we plan to do on this edition of the unexplained.
