The guest on this show is somebody who talks differently and authoritatively about the state of finance, the state of government and the stuff that really happens behind the scenes.

She is controversial, she is knowledgeable and the reason for her knowledge is the fact that she was at the very nexus of government and finance in the US.

Keferin Austin fits founder of Salary and the Salary report.

She served as managing director and member of the board of directors of the Wall Street Investment Bank, Dylan Reed and Company Incorporated.

She also served as assistant secretary of housing and federal housing commissioner at HUD, a government department in the Bush administration, the first one in the US,

and was the president and founder of Hamilton Securities Group Incorporated.

So she's got a great track record, not only in government and there's a story as you will hear behind that, but also in finance which is at the heart of everything.

I really wanted to try and get a handle on what is happening with this world of hours at the moment.

There is so much instability around and nobody's entirely sure whether we are staring down the barrel of yet another recession may be a crash.

What is going on? What are the political movements going on and who's pulling the strings? Who's calling the shots I guess we are? We need to be asking.

So the person to be asking that I think is Keferin Austin fits.
