As a director, Edgar Wright has brought us Hot Fuzz

and his debut film, of course, Sean the Dead,

both of which he co-wrote with Simon Pegg.

He created the series Space for which he was last here.

This time, his first adaptation,

Scott Pilgrim versus the world from the Brian Lee O'Malley comic,

I'm sorry, graphic novel because they cost more than $2 nowadays.

First of all, Edgar, so good to have you back. Thanks for coming back.

Thanks for having me back. I'm pleased to be back for round three.

And how did you choose the title versus the world? Because there are many titles in the six

episodes. I kind of figured, it's funny, I think some people assume that versus the world is

the second volume,

and the first volume is called Precious Little Life.

And we just went for the second title because it seemed to encapsulate the whole story,

especially in the film he's battling the seven X's.

So I just thought it was a nice thing that, you know, like in the book,

everybody is out to get him.

It's not just the exes. It's like the various women in his life, people that have problems with the way he

deals with things.

So I thought that was the best title that would encapsulate the whole series.
