But after just five years in a state hospital, Ed was deemed ready to be released back into society.

His doctors only gave one recommendation.

Ed should not be put into the custody of his mother.

And obviously, you'd think that that one strong stipulation made by the medical team

treating Ed, a murderer, would be listened to.
