0:00.0	Globalization obviously has a bad name nowadays, because of the disruption it's caused
0:06.5	particularly to our countries, the loss of manufacturing jobs, all sorts of other things,
0:11.4	the fact that suddenly in the middle of a pandemic we realize we get a lot of our drugs
0:15.6	from China and China may not be sending them, quite as willing, laser has done, etc., etc.
0:21.0	But isn't it fair to say as well that the period you're describing since the 1950s
0:25.3	through to about 2015, we've all benefited massively from this process.
0:29.8	So the end of globalization is not all good.
0:32.8	Oh, the end of globalization is going to be a disaster for most of the world.
0:38.6	Most of the world cannot feed and fuel itself without either direct imports or the inputs
0:44.2	that's necessary to allow them to feed and fuel themselves from another continent.
0:48.4	You break that down, you're talking about food shortages that are global in scale, that
0:52.5	affect billions of people, you're talking about an end to manufacturers trade in the way
0:56.5	that we know it, which basically strangles tech in the cradle.
1:00.0	And you're talking about a collapse of the ability of energy from one region to reach
1:03.2	another region, which Europe is discovering right now means the lights go out.
1:08.4	These are not positive things.
1:10.8	It doesn't mean that there won't be winners, just as in any system there will be winners
1:14.2	and losers.
1:16.2	But we've had a lot of winning in the last 75 years that's about to go away.
