I met my next door neighbor a week after moving into my new home.

Our first encounter wasn't very pleasant, but that was part of the course with Jack

He wasn't exactly a pleasant guy.

He came barging out of his front doors I walked back into my driveway.

As I was stepping out of my car he pointed and called out.

He parked on my lawn.

The tires on the passenger side were barely touching the edge of his grass.

I wanted to give him a smart ass reply and walk away, but there was something a little

unnerving about the intensity of a stare.

Outwardly the old fellow seemed calm enough, but he had the energy of a coiled rattlesnake.

I didn't really feel like starting something with a grumpy neighbor, so I gave him an apologetic

smile and said, I guess I might be a little too close.

Sorry about that.

I'm not that great at backing in.

He gave me a mocking grin and returned and said, that maybe you should practice and get

better at it.

Hop in your car, do it again.

Only this time keep it the fuck off my lawn.

My new neighbor wheeled around and marched back into his house, leaving me standing there

with my mouth hanging open.
