Big, big story on the way today, and that is, of course, that the energy prices that you are paying are going to go up.

OffGEM have announced today that the energy price cap will increase by 1.2% from £,717 pounds to 1,738 pounds from January the 1st. Tim Jarvis, who is the Director General of Markets off-GEM, says this,

we understand that the cost of energy remains a challenge for too many households. A challenge,

he says. No, it's not a challenge. It means that it's so expensive that people can't afford to

put their heating on.

He says in the short term, though, anyone struggling with bills should speak to their supplier to make sure they're getting the help they need and look around to make sure they're on the best, most affordable deal for them.
