Cesarians in the US and it's an extremely common reason for unplanned

Cesarians in many other countries around the world. For example, failure to

42% of caesareans in Queensland, Australia, and 34% of caesarians in the

United Kingdom. Failure to progress is probably over-diagnosed in these countries as well as the United States.

In 2013, researchers published a report on more than 38,000 people who had their first Cizarian,

called a primary Cizarian, in the U in the US during a six-year period.

The overall primary cesarian rate in this sample was 21.3 percent, and the cesarian rate

among people giving birth for the first time was 30.8%.

One third of the primary cesarians in the overall sample were due to a diagnosis of failure
