Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk TV.

The one place to be, of course, the common sense, for the truth, the whole truth and nothing

but to the truth.

We awake on the second day of our working week, for most people anyway, in the beginning of the

brand new year 2023.

However, it would appear, and we will be talking about this later on in the show,

that Tuesday to Thursday is, in fact, the new working week.

So Monday was a bank holiday, but don't worry, because next week it'll be the same.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Seems to be the time that we all now go to work properly.

Monday and Friday, nobody bothers. Now, is there any coincidence

that the economy is not firing all cylinders? Is there any coincidence that you can't get anything

done? Is it any coincidence that people are constantly complaining that Britain is broken? It's not

broken. It's just slowing down. And it's just not working as hard as it should do. I know this

has become a very regular refrain of mine,

but I'm sorry to have to say that there is no evidence yet that the brand new year has

changed anything in terms of people's work ethic. I've had this from Helen, and I'm going to

kick it off straight away because this is what's going on inside of the NHS, which is apparently
