Hello, and welcome back to another Expand podcast episode with yours truly Elizabeth April.

Today I want to talk about Eastern versus Western medicine.

Now, for starters, I am not a medical practitioner. I have absolutely no

background whatsoever in anything even holistic. All I know is my own experience based on some health

complications I've gone through and also just some natural,

intuitive upkeep that I apply to my life every day. So for starters, back when I was 18,

and I was really going through my reawakening with my own gifts and abilities from

childhood. I had a lot of weird things happening. I noticed that all of my blood vessels and my

fingernails were bursting, oddly enough. I was getting rashes in odd places. I had like crazy

inflammation all over my body. I was experiencing lack of circulation and blood flow.

And I'm trying to remember what else I was experiencing lots and lots of headaches and migraines.

And so I finally went to the doctor and I said, hey, you know, these are the things that are happening,

what's going on. And we did some blood tests and they said that it might be lupus, which is an autoimmune disease. They said that I would

have been really young to get diagnosed with that at my age. And it was pretty scary, you know,

but I'd also recently been through a breakup and awakening and psychic attacks and lack of sleep and going to

university and making friends and, you know, new environments. It was, it was a lot. I went to a,

I think it's called a rheumatologist, probably totally butchering that, but basically like a

blood specialist. And we did all the tests and all the tests came back positive. And what he said

was, we're going to retake these tests, because I told them what was going on in my life.

And he said, we're going to retake these tests in a couple of months.

And if they all come back positive again, then, you know, we're going to put together a

lupus plan and we're going to get you started off right in handling this disease. And, you know,
