Oh man, Danny, I am embarrassed to even be showing my face in this space again after my

future performance for last year's overrunners. I cautioned before the season that

I was going to be so hard and you know, there could be COVID absences and this is going to be our

first A2 game season in three years and how our team is going to treat the regular season

here. No way of knowing there's all these injury absences. Those are bullshit excuses. Vegas

got it better than I did. Better than we did, although you did better than me. Do we do better this

year? Let's hope. Well, so I'll explain briefly part of the exercise that I wanted to do this year.

I don't know how much of this will go into on every team, but basically I wanted to try to quantify

like how good were these teams actually last year? Like you know, and so that's not only the record

and the differential, but also were they unusually healthy, were they lucky or unlucky in terms of

opponent shooting, and then you know like how much did the roster shift? Because I think that's kind

of like those are the two big pieces of the puzzle and you could add in you know coaching changes

with the different things that happened there for specific circumstances because in other

years sometimes what we've done well is the difference between a team's previous record and their

actual performance. And I actually think you know, looking through the lines problemarily, I think

Vegas actually did a much better job on that this year, which sucks for us, but that's okay. Well,

they apparently did a better job last year than we thought. I mean also I think it's worth noting to

that last year saw an inordinate number of massive surprises and disappointments. I mean the team

that I picked to win the West and have the second best record in the West didn't even make the

play in the Lakers. Not so much the playoffs. Brooklyn was the favorite in the East by everybody,

the championship fair by everybody. They were in the play in and got swept in the first round. It

Memphis came absolutely out of nowhere. Cleveland was one of the biggest surprise teams that we've
