Hello and welcome to Bible stories. We are your hosts. Matt Mullins. Hello. Hey Matt. My name is Todd Heyman's. We're two ministers slash buds who love telling the stories of the Bible. And guess what? Today is another day in our Easter week special. In fact, today is Tuesday.

Matt, tell us what happened in the life of Jesus and those around him on this day, 2,000 plus years ago.

Well, Jesus and his disciples, they are once again taking the path from Bethany.

This is where they were kind of staying like a home base during the trip,

and they're headed back to Jerusalem.

And as they walk, the disciples noticed that the fig tree from yesterday that Jesus had cursed,

well, it has supernaturally withered.

It's just, it looks dead.

And yesterday it looked vibrant. Like it looked like a normal tree. It's just, it looks dead. And yesterday, it looked vibrant. Like,

it looked like a normal tree. It just didn't have any fruit. And Jesus tells the disciples, if they have faith and don't doubt, that they'll do more than just curse a fig tree and see

this thing happen. If they have faith, and if they don't doubt, then they could go just

tell a mountain to throw itself into the sea and it would obey.

Well, the crowds, they arrive at the temple early because Jesus has been doing some incredible stuff and they don't know what he's going to do next.

I mean, Jesus, they can't predict what's happening.

So they show up early.

They don't want to miss it.

After all, on Sunday, Jesus rode into town like a king.

People are cheering for him.

Monday, he took charge of the temple.

He's flipping over tables.

What's on the agenda for today, Todd?

So the crowds, they're all about what Jesus did in the temple, but the religious leaders are not.
