verses 1 through 2.

Let God arise. Let his enemies be scattered.

Let those who hate him flee from before his face.

As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish.

As wax melts before the fire, so the sinners will perish before the face of God, but let

the righteous be glad.

Are you glad that the tomb is empty and that Christ is risen and that his enemies have been scattered.

Princes and powers have been dealt with.

Lofty thinking has been pulverized by the passion of the Lord Jesus.

The resurrection has confounded those who call themselves wise

and death has been dealt a fatal and eternal blow.
