We're in a series called Jesus and I am enjoying the series. I hope you are too, but I'm enjoying what God is saying to us.

Probably the message so far that has spoken to me the most was the message I preached on the human and I talked about the

human side of Jesus when he was on this earth. Well that's the way I feel about

this weekend's message this is called the Sun and if you want to turn to a scripture we're going to go through a lot of

scripture but you can turn to John chapter 3 we'll read the most famous verse in the Bible

in a moment but it hit me just like a ton of bricks this week that he is someone's son.

And I know that it should have hit me before this strongly but I just began thinking about

the father and the son and that the father gave his son and that they have a

fatherly a father-son relationship and it's a good relationship.

I know on Earth many times because of sin, there might not be a good father-son relationship, but there's no sin in heaven.

And so the father and son have a great relationship.

As a matter of fact, when Jesus got baptized, the father encouraging him said,

Matthew 317, suddenly a voice came from heaven saying,

this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. So I want to talk to you about Jesus being a son and the father giving

his son and that leads us to the first point. Here's point number one. He was given. He was given.

Isaiah 9-6 says for unto us a child is born,

unto us a son is given. And then John 316, the most famous verse of the Bible, for God so

loved the world that he gave, he gave his only begotten son

that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

So many times I think we see the servant nature of Jesus and hear his turn the other teachings and somehow

think he's the kind one and the father's the mean one. But I want to remind you, the father gave his son.

They have this father-son relationship,
