But why is it called Palm Sunday, you ask? Well, that's a great

question, and I am going to tell you. But first, I want to introduce you to a man named

Zachariah. Can you say, Zachariah? Zachariah was a prophet. We have learned a lot about prophets in our stories so far. Who else was a prophet that we have learned about? If you said Samuel, then you are correct. Samuel was a prophet who, from the time he was a young boy, heard the voice of the Lord speaking to him. The Lord would give

Samuel the words to speak to King Saul, warning him that if he did not repent and turn

from his sinful ways, then the Lord would remove the kingdom from him. And Samuel was right. He

had heard the Lord correctly. For when Saul refused to repent and obey the Lord,

the kingdom was taken from him and his family. A prophet like Samuel spends much time listening to the
