Matthew 26, John 13, & 1John 1:9 We begin our Easter series with: Hearing Jesus, the king of kings, serving and loving his disciples by washing their feet. Introduce the betrayal BUT remind kids that Jesus was not alarmed by this. Jesus knows everything and this isn't "throwing off his plans." Learn the significance of the passover (We keep it age appropriate) Explain the connection of the last supper and communion. As always it will be a fun journey that engages the kids and is explained on their level so they can apply and remember it. We want them to know that God's word is for them, He loves them, and they can know Him! 0:09.0	And this comes from Matthew, chapter 26, John, chapter 13, and 1st John, chapter 1, verse 9.

0:33.2	Today marks the beginning of a special series as we dive into Easter.
0:39.3	Easter is more than colorful eggs and chocolate bunnies.
0:45.3	It's a time when we remember and celebrate the most incredible and meaningful events in the life of Jesus.
0:52.3	Why is Easter so important for Christians?
0:56.0	Well, tell me out loud what is Easter?
1:01.0	I'll wait.
1:07.0	These are the time where we celebrate when Jesus died on the cross for us,
1:11.6	and he washed away all of our sins.
1:14.6	Well, God rose from the dead.
1:17.6	The people went in the tomb because they were sad.
1:20.6	But then there was an angel and he said,
1:22.6	Go tell the world God isn't dead.
1:26.6	Yes.
1:29.3	On Christmas we celebrate Jesus' birth, and on Easter is when we celebrate the gift Jesus gave us
1:35.3	when he died and rose again.
1:38.3	It's a time when we reflect on the ultimate act of love, sacrifice, and justice that Jesus made for us.
1:47.8	Easter is the big moment in the story of God's plan for our redemption, washing away our sins.
