In November of 2006, two women walking along a dirt-access road in Egg Harbor Township,

a small city on the outskirts of Atlantic City in Southeastern New Jersey stumbled upon

the body of a woman lying face down in a drainage ditch.

This woman, who would later be identified as 35-year-old Kim Raffo, was just one of

at least four women who had gone missing from the region in the week's prior.

These were called to the scene, and quickly discovered the bodies of three more women.

Twenty-year-old Molly Jean Dilts from Black Lake Township, Pennsylvania.

Forty-two-year-old Barbara V. Brighter from Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania.

And twenty-three-year-old Tracy Ann Roberts from Bear Delaware.

All four women were sex workers living and working in Atlantic City, and all had blonde

or dyed blonde hair at the time of their deaths.

The circumstances of their deaths were also eerily similar.

They had been dumped, fully clothed, into a drainage ditch behind a stretch of motels

along a stretch of roadway known as the Black Horse Pike.

The only exception was that all four had their socks and shoes removed beforehand.

And none showed any sign of physical or sexual trauma before they had died.

The remains of Molly Jean Dilts and Barbara Brighter, the first two known victims of this

unknown killer, were too decomposed to determine a cause of death.

Tracy Ann Roberts and Kim Raffo, however, were believed to have been killed within just

a few days of their bodies being found.

For Tracy Ann Roberts, her cause of death was listed as a fixation.
