The Pentagon says that a US fighter jet shot down an object flying over Lake Huron Sunday.

The Coast Guard is searching for its remains. Officials said it was shot down over Michigan,

but appeared to land in Canadian water. The Canadian Defense Minister says that Canada

supported the object's downing and will continue to work with the US. The US also shot down

objects over Alaska on Friday and Canada on Saturday. Those followed the February 4th

downing of what the US called a Chinese spy balloon. A characterization that the Chinese

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied. US officials say that balloons incursion has forced
