Hello and welcome to the Sleep Story from Abide.

I'm Chloe, and I'm thankful you've decided to join me for tonight's story titled

Earth, the fruit of God's works.

Without a doubt, no other planet in the universe is as exceptional as the planet we call home.

Not only did God create this beautiful place and fill it with innumerable wonders

by the word of his mouth, but he also created it to be inhabited by his people. People like you

and me who love and worship him, glorify him, and take good care of the resources we've been given.

Psalm 104 verse 5 says,

He set the earth on its foundations.

It can never be moved.

And later in Psalm 104 verses 24 and 25, the psalmist says,

How many are your works, Lord. In wisdom you made them all. The earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea,

vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number, living things both large and small.

Tonight's journey of planet Earth will be one of insight and discovery as we tour the vast

and beautiful terrain of the planet on which we live.

But before we begin our sleep story, please take a few moments to get comfortable and settle into bed.

I don't know what kind of day you've had, but I encourage you to let all of your worries

and concerns fade away right now.

As thoughts come to mind, filter them through the words of Paul to the Philippians when he said,

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever

is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable.

If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.
