0:00.0 | Hey everybody, Rob Malware here, and today we're going to be doing a little bit of previewing |
0:10.7 | for Tesla's Q3 earnings called tomorrow, and we did actually have a handful of other |
0:14.7 | interesting news so we'll hit that first and quickly start off with stock here. |
0:18.9 | Tesla up 410s of a percent on the day today, closing at $254.92, actually a nice outperformance |
0:24.5 | with the NASDAQ closing down a quarter percent, but of course not super meaningful as we had |
0:28.8 | an earnings tomorrow, which will have a much greater impact. |
0:31.3 | So we'll go through the estimates and preview a little bit here later on, but first want |
0:35.7 | to touch on a couple pieces of news. |

0:50.2 | So yet another automaker jumping on board. |
0:51.8 | I think we've just still got a couple of major holdouts from the likes of Volkswagen and Toyota, |
0:56.2 | but the dominoes continue to fall. |
0:58.6 | A couple of big ones here with BMW and Hyundai Kia over the last week or so. |
1:03.5 | So good to see that. |
1:04.5 | Interestingly, they did not mention, like we have heard from other automakers, an adapter. |
1:09.3 | So a lot of other automakers have mentioned an adapter for NASS prior to the adoption or |
1:14.4 | the integration rather of NASS into their vehicles, but through this press release, no mention |
1:18.9 | of that from BMW. |
1:20.5 | So we'll see, they might have just left that out, but kind of an interesting difference |
1:25.2 | between the announcements, but of course for BMW, this will cover the BMW brands as well |
