Hi folks, Eagles Beat reporter Mike Kay here from NJ Advanced Media, and this is your latest update from the No Huddle Show podcast.

The Eagles added nine new players to their roster during the 2021 NFL draft. On day one, the Eagles traded up with the Dallas Cowboys to select Alabama-wide receiver Devante Smith in the first

round. Smith, the reigning Heism trophy winner, produced over 1,800 yards and 23 receiving touchdowns

as a senior. He's expected to wear the number six jersey. On day two, the NFL draft, the Eagles

selected a pair of linemen. In the second round, the Eagles took Alabama Guard slash center, Landon Dickerson. Dickerson is coming off a late-season ACL tear. He has a long

history of injuries, but is considered a top-level talent when healthy. In the third round,

the Eagles took defensive tackle Milton Williams. Williams is expected to play all four

defensive line positions this season as a rotational player.

The Eagles added some intriguing talent on day three of the draft. In the fourth round, the Eagles grabbed Texas Tech cornerback as Zekh McPherson. In round five, the Eagles got Memphis running back Kenny Gainwell.

They also plan to convert sixth round safety Jacoby

Stevens and seventh round defensive end Patrick Johnson into linebackers. The NFL draft came and went

and tight end Zach Ertz is still on the Eagles roster. The Eagles are now likely to wait until June

to make a move on Earths. The Eagles can save an additional $3.5 million by waiting to release

or trade Erds in June.

The Eagles'-Eerts relationship is likely to end in divorce before training camp.

The Eagles now have 10, 2022 draft picks.
