Smith, and I am joined by none other than Jeff Nyberg, Philadelphia Inquirer Eagles Beat Reporter, Roller Hockey, really just I would say like a glue guy, right? Like a roller hockey glue guy. And, you know, a personal friend, former colleague, current friend of mine. I'm very excited to be joined by Jeff Nyberg today, if you can't tell.

So, yeah, welcome to the show.

Jeff, how you doing? Thanks for having me. Glug guy. You might, basketball players don't like that term. They think it's like a derogatory to think they're better than that. I'm a proud glue guy. I mean, yeah, you need someone who does. I always, when I am a glue guy in basketball, rebounding, like boxing people out.

That's really all I offer is rebound. I can pass. But yeah, no, you need those guys. You need those guys who are going to kind of, you know, bring up the floor of the team. Rebounding and passing are important parts of basketball. It's fundamental to the game. So we have a lot to get to today. I'm very excited to talk through really what I would call Howie Roseman's to-do list over the next couple of weeks. I think some of these probably will stretch into probably later in the off season. But I do think there are some things that have urgency here. So, you know, the format for today's show, Jeff and I are going to kind of go back and forth on some of these, you know, some of the things we think will be at the top of Hallie Roseman's

to-do lists. And I think we disagree on a couple of these. So I think it'll be good. You know, I want us to keep it civil. As our listeners know, our viewers know, sometimes Bow and I, we can get a little testy. So, yeah, I think that it'll be a good conversation

and, you know, be good to get some

fresh perspective on some of these things.

I think disagreement might be strong.

We have different philosophies.

I don't disagree with you on some things.

I think we think things might play out differently, but our opinions aren't terribly dissimilar.

Well, I think that's probably why we're friends.

We see a lot the same way,

but I think it'll be a good discussion on some of these. So we fake fight? We shouldn't fake fight. You know, there have been instances where I have been pitted against people at this desk. Oh, wow. I would never want to do that. Not going to let it happen today. So I'm going to kick us off mostly because it's, you know, I'm the host.

I have to do what I want. Big job. I get to do what I want to do here. The first thing that I

would say is on a Howie-Rosman to-do list. Might surprise you, I think it's talk to Jordan Davis

about an extension and get an extension done with Jordan Davis. It's not the most

heralded defensive tackle free agency class. It's not like the market is necessarily going

to go up, but I think it's more about the fact that the market's, in my opinion, already

been set for a player like Jordan Davis. Obviously, we all know he had an incredible season,

really expanded his game from being just an early down run stuffer to being somebody who was an impact player on early downs, could be on the field for more of those early downs.
