Free agency frenzy has officially begun. Fran, how are you? Doing great. It's a beautiful day outside. It feels like spring. It feels like a new year. Well, it feels like, you know, almost a new year. How about you, E.J.? I'm doing well. Very excited. You know, my previous job, I would always say, like, this week is a lot of sitting on the couch and watching NFL network. In my new job, I get to, like, feed off the energy of the studio. So I'm excited about that. I've got lots to talk about. I got a lot of notes to get through in the next couple hours. So, yeah, excited for the show. So we got a lot to get to. We will talk about the Jordan Davis extension. We will talk about what may be to come with Jalen Carter and Jalen Phillips.

And is there anything on the A Davis extension. We will talk about what may be to come with Jalen Carter

and Jalen Phillips. Is there anything on the AJA Brown front? What does Howie Roseman do? We will be

which we discussed in an emergency podcast, but after sort of sleeping on that, Fran, how do you feel about it a couple

days later?

Honestly, I feel about the same that I felt in the moment where I was definitely surprised

by the number.

I think that there's a decent chance that by the time we get to the middle part of this

deal, that you're people that are looking at the contract and looking at the impact and you're saying like, oh, it's, and baby didn't quite meet what the expectation is when you look at the other top defensive tackles in the league and what they get paid. But I think you summed it up best at the end of the emergency pod over the weekend where if you were an Eagles fan and if you're watching the show, you're Likely an Eagles fan. Yeah, you're an Eagles fan. You should be happy that Jordan Davis is locked up. He's an easy player to root for. He does everything right off the field. I think it makes a lot of sense to keep him in the building what he means for the culture. But yeah, the number overall did surprise me. Would you like to know the first free agent who has reportedly found? Yeah. Go ahead, E.J. The Indianapolis Colts are resigning Alec Pierce. Whoa. According to our friends at NFL Network and Diana Rossini, that is, that has ripple effects for the Eagles. Yes. Yeah. You know, I said on Cousa's show this morning, if you're an Eagles

fan that doesn't want A.J. Brown to get traded, you were hoping that the Patriot signed

Alec Pierce. I think the fact that nothing happened over the weekend was a sign that, you know,

I saw the reporting from NFL Network about the momentum stalling on that deal. I think that that is

correct. But right now, with Alec Pierce quickly off the market,

that's one fewer option for the New England Patriots.
