Inside the Birds is back.

Jeff Mosher and Adam Kaplan joined again, as usual and happily, by Inside thebirds.com's Andrew DeCechko.

And when you see all three of us or you hear all three of us, you know that the Eagles are smack dab in the middle of training camp.

And for those watching on YouTube, I'm sure you'll notice that we're all a nice shade of tan because we were at Monday's practice,

and it was sweltering, fellas, 97 degrees felt even hotter than that. Wasn't humid, wasn't that bad, but it was very, very hot. I would have left. To be honest with you, I would have left. If it was humid, I'm out. It's like, you know what? Do I need to be here? I'll be at other practices, but yeah, it was, and you know, it's funny because, you know, when you drive, when you're driving from there and you look at the temperature because it's, it's reflected off of like the, um, the asphalt. It said 103. And when I looked at, and I'm like, there's no way it's 103, but it's off the ground.

But anyway, yeah, it was brutal.

I'm a total sicker. I was one of the first guys out there. I may have been the first guy out there. And I'm like walking up and down the field. I'm like, this is football weather. I'm ready. Let's go. Although, Vic Fangio, how about him? I hadn't even left my house yet. And I'm just checking X. And I see Andrew texting the picture of the field with nobody on it. I'm like, why is he there so early? What time do you get there? What time do you get on the field? I was there at 9 o'clock. Oh, because we had, no, you were able to get players before? No. No, I just like to get mentally prepared. I have a weirdo like that. He has a sickness. What were you saying about Vic Fangio? No, I was going to say Vic was wearing a sweatshirt. I'm like, what is he doing? Was it the hoodie? A lot of coaches, Jamal Singleton wore a sweatshirt. I remember Harold Carmichael. He used to always wear long sleeve hoodies when he was the guy who would catch the ball and place it before every

rep. But I think that's like a football player slash coaching thing where you're trying to lose weight

and be manly. Well, I thought so because there's an offensive line coach I know and I was visited

with him over the years. and he would wear the hood.

Now, he was probably 300 pounds then, and I get that. You're trying to lose the water weight, but man, it was brutal. Jeff, let me ask you this question from all your days at Lehigh. Now, I know about your storm one. I saw that picture that you put out, which is incredible. Yeah. Lehigh is in the middle of the country right so you get old country heat was was

monday's practice was that going back in your memory was that one of the hottest you could remember

well as i think i told you or something the the hottest I've ever been at a practice of any kind

was when we did the joint practice against the dolphins in Miami two years ago.

And I honestly thought that if I wanted to know what hell felt like,

that was probably it.

I mean,

because that was the 100 degrees and 100% humidity.

There was just, you're just standing in your own soup watching football.

That's the hottest I've ever been.

Lehigh, for most people who don't even realize this, most of the morning practices started at 8 a.m.
