Hey everyone, today’s interview is with my friend Lyle Henley.  Lyle is the Director of Performance for Football at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.  We dive into what it is like being the strength coach for a college football team during the Coronavirus madness, maintaining these relationships, and much more! Coach Henley grew up in Warren, Arkansas, a small logging town in the southern portion of the state, and was a member of the Louisiana Tech football program from 1994-1998. He began his career at linebacker before moving to tight end his senior year and was a member of the Bulldogs squad that defeated Alabama in a rain-soaked homecoming at Bryant-Denny Stadium in 1997. Now in his fourth year, Henley believes the fruits of the program's labor have come to fruition. There is trust instilled between his staff and the athletes, a productive product on the field and endless energy inside and outside the operations facility. It's not just noticeable to him and coaches, however, as the players continuously laud the training program under Henley.
