Well, on Thanksgiving Day, we'd have the, you know, all stops were pulled out.

Table was set beautifully, the china, the silverware, and a million things on the table and candles.

And I would find myself as a boy going, it's going to be different.

Like, because everything looks different and it's exquisite, and it's a time to savor and sit and not be in a hurry.

And the setting and the food and the atmosphere looked that way, but the people were the same, right?

There was no lingering and there was no deeper conversation.

And I would always be more disappointed after a meal like at Thanksgiving because I was like,

it felt like it was going to happen. It was on

the verge of happening and it didn't happen. Oh friends, welcome back to the Wild at Heart

podcast here in Thanksgiving week in the United States and the beginning of the holidays

in some ways for all of us around the world, wherever

you're tuning in. Those of you watching are curious going, oh, Alan's wife, Kelly, is

with us and Stacey's here. So that's going to become pretty obvious in a minute. But yeah,

we are so glad to come to you here in Thanksgiving in North America,

but in the kind of the start of the holiday season everywhere, to just begin to offer some

loving counsel and reflection and some storytelling to kind of get us all in a good place as we enter

into a busy time of year, what can be a very, very beautiful time of year, what can be

kind of a bumpy and hard time of year as well. So we want to reduce the bumps, increase the joy,

and bring you into our conversation.

But before we go there, let's all take our pause.
