Narcissom is so frequently misunderstood.

The idea is that narcissists love themselves too much.

And the reality is, is that narcissists actually don't love themselves enough.

If you get to the core of narcissism, what you are going to find is a deep feeling of emptiness and

meaninglessness, a deep sense of shame. It's really critical to understand that when you're

dealing with somebody that's got a lot of

narcissism, those dynamics are what you can see on the surface. What's below that is

usually a huge reservoir of shame.

give us a little bit of your background.

Sure.

So I am a clinical psychologist, and my passion is really about overcoming the human formation deficits, the things in the natural

realm that keep us from a deep intimate personal relationship with the three persons of the Trinity,

especially God our father. That's what I'm all about. It's all about overcoming what's in the natural realm, the human formation things that keep us separated from God.

And what is your clinical background?

So I'm a clinical psychologist. I got my degree in 2001, so it's been more than 20 years.

I've been in private practice for for what seems like forever and I've learned a lot of

different modalities, different treatment, and I've been really looking for how can we ground,

how can we take the best of what's out there in the natural world and ground that in a Catholic understanding of the human person.
