I grew up in the 80s and 90s, right?

Very much what I was taught.

One thing a guy can do, you can do it better.

There was this girl power that was really intense

in the 90s, where we were really pushing women

to assert themselves like men, right?

Even the way that we dressed, women were dressing like men.

I didn't want to be different from men, right?

I wanted to be equal to them,

and I wanted us to be the same because that's what I was told.

Well, to be a woman, you know,

is actually like, you're tough like a man,

you do things like a man,

but this idea of being woman seemed weak,

it seemed less than,

and it didn't seem like something that I would want.

So I liked the idea of equal,

but I wasn't sure about the idea of different.
