To begin with today, Meredith Bergman, co-author of Green Band's Red Union, gives a quick rundown of some of the different types of green bands which Builders' Labor is implemented

There were a number of different green bands.

There were green bands on natural bush, like in Kelly's Bush.

There were green bands to save parkland and of course the best known of that is the green

ban on Centennial Park, which is still our huge iconic park right in the middle of Sydney.

It was going to be, the green area was going to be turned into a huge sporting complex with no area left for passive recreation.

And it was that green band, the Centennial Park Green Band, that got the huge support of Patrick White,
