And as we were just talking about before I started recording,

I feel like you're one of the few reporters who still has boots on the ground and talks to

normal people.

fan of yours show. It's just going to be like a fan girl show, right? Oh, I love these. I love

conversation and storytelling and you do that really well. It's real like American trait.

And I think podcasts have brought that back alive in a very important way,

sort of the way that old local radio used to do it.

It does feel that way.

right now today about the discourse? Let's start in the present. Okay. Here's what I think.

I think there is this world of the very online. And when I say very online, I don't mean people who spend time on there

and check things out, have conversations. This is a very different animal. The very online to me,

this is my own description, are the people that that is their only world. And a lot of it is stoking up attention, stoking up

discourse. I think my grandma used to call it pot stirers, right? And there's always potstores

in real life.
