| 1:13.8 | of Animal Biome, which is a company that is dedicated to improving gut health in cats |
| 1:19.5 | and dogs. I am a microbial ecologist, which means that I think about how microbes interact |
| 1:25.4 | with each other and with their animal hosts. |
| 1:28.3 | I did my PhD at UC Davis thinking about these kinds of questions and then really started |
| 1:34.8 | thinking about cats and dogs more deeply when I adopted a herding dog in grad school and |
| 1:41.4 | she became like the love of our lives and just ruled our lives |
| 1:45.6 | as hurting dogs do and um eventually she developed a GI condition called hemorrhagic gastroenteritis |
