Let me tell you how I first encountered him.

Some guy walked into my Sunday school class one Sunday morning

with a guest preacher who was there for the day

because Joe was out of town. I thought he was with a guest preacher.

So I introduced myself to them and said, so, uh, are you guys go to the same church or and you didn't know him.

Like y'all had met that moment, just that moment.

And I knew right then that we were going to be friends, right that minute.

So how about you?

Did you think, oh man? No, I knew before that. Or I wouldn't have

showed up in your class. Oh, there you go. Yeah. Because I think listening to your teaching before that just had an intuition about kind of who I thought

you might be and then when that bore itself out in about 30 seconds that day I was like yeah okay this is it.
