I'd love to just start off with a quick little background.

If you could just give the listeners a little bit of a summary.

So I was working in real estate private equity in the U.S. in the early 2000s and felt that it was a little bit too frothy of a market and valuations didn't make much sense.

And in any case, I had already applied to business school, so I kind of knew where I was going to be going and thought that I would give China a try and pick up an extra language before business school and then

making a decision whether or not to come back.

So I moved to Shanghai, studied Mandarin, and then went to business school.

And then after business school, decided to turn down an offer to join a bulge bracket investment bank in London in order to come out to Asia and build a career out here.

And it's had it certainly had an adventure.

It's had its pros and cons and happy to try to provide a little bit

of insight on that. My career in Asia has spanned investment banking, which is where I started,

and then private equity, and then real estate private equity. And so I've had the opportunity

to spend a fair deal of time on the buy side, the better part of almost 15 years now.
