Filmmation had the Ghostbusters IP beforehand. That's why if you went back and looked at Ghostbusters 84 when they did it they had a

whole bunch of different names that is they like Ghost Chasers because they weren't sure they didn't get it.

And then of course it tested so well as Ghostbusters we have to get it so they got it but when that happened filmation was still very much like you know

wait we own Ghostbusters so we're going to make money on it so they made a cartoon called Ghostbusters to ride off the success of Ghostbusters.

Was it then Ghostbusters? No, no, it was this monkey in a bunch of Ghostbusters guys. They weren't even monkeys.

It was a Ghostbusters. Yeah, and so then to make a Ghostbusters like from the movie Peter vanqueen kind of shit they did the real Ghostbusters.
