Welcome, one and all to Kataku split screen special coverage of E3 2018. It is midday on Sunday, June 10th, and this is the first of many special E3 podcasts that we will be doing. My name is Kirk Hamilton. I'm editor at large at kataku.com. joined from the field in Los Angeles by Kotaku News Editor Jason Schreier. Good afternoon, Jason. Hello.

0:22.1

Hello, Kirk. Coming at you live from Los Angeles, where we have just finished the second of our E3 press

0:29.4

conference bonanza. Yes, a real bonanza, that second one, too. Much more of a bonanza than the first one.

0:35.3

You will be happy to hear that the weather here is the same as it is every day in Los Angeles,

0:39.6

which is that it starts off cool and then gets hot and sunny and then goes to cool.

0:43.9

It sounds about right. Can I say the weather in Portland?

0:46.0

Crazy. It's been like hailing and raining harder than anything in the last two days.

1:26.4

And because EA has so few,

1:28.0

it's like a good training ground. It is. It's like a good, good practice. It's funny, especially

1:32.6

because Microsoft comes after it and Microsoft is just like every year I'm struck writing these

1:37.5

roundups that I do where it's just like game, game, game, game, game for like an hour and a half

1:41.3

just this machine gun or like fire hose of games. So yeah, EA is a nice warm-up.

1:46.3

This was one of the most, one of the most impressive Microsoft conferences we've seen.

1:49.7

It was super crazy and full of awesome and announcing.

1:52.7

Yeah, a lot of games.

1:53.5

I guess we'll get to it.

1:54.1

Let's do EA, right?

1:55.5

Let's start with EA.
