Today we've got some cool stuff sent over to us from the from samson and everybody else over at

the consumer like product show this specifically is samsung's micro l micro LED tv you guys

know about the furthest thing in the world from a scientist so i have no idea what's actually

going on here but it looks pretty fucking cool if you ask me. So, of course, we wanted to showcase that here today. A lot of

cool shit going on at CES, and we'll talk about that more in depthly in just a couple of minutes.

But of course, today's main purpose, we are coming at you with Daily Peel number 623, good for

at you guys a little bit earlier than usual today but hey well i know we got plenty of time

this morning so let's spend some time together and let's check out how markets are looking

already this morning so we can see markets are off to a bit of the choppy start. It's more good than it is bad. But of course, we're seeing small caps take a bit of a beating over here. Down just 25 basis points, not too terrible for the day. Not a lot of huge major catalysts coming out this morning. So I'm no surprise to see it's relatively low volume, relatively light day here. things are still, this is kind of the combo for the storm before we start to get

CPI report tomorrow before we get bank earnings beginning on Friday and all the fun of

2024 gets on a leash later on this month.

Let's go ahead and see what was going on yesterday.

So this wasn't a big release or anything. It came out a couple of weeks ago, but we took the time to dive into some food prices as well and show just how much grocery stores across America are scamming you, me, and everybody else. Now, of course, we also did get some major movements from some stocks, including Crowdstrike and Match Group. JetBlue and HP had a tough day, but we'll dive into exactly why. Might not be as bad as it seems. Then, of course, the Consumer Electronics Show. This is why that we have this beautiful micro LED TV right here behind us. So I'll definitely be looking to check that out. I mean, look at how beautiful this image is here too. is here too if we go ahead and take a look at some of the movements of the wso alpha portfolio

of the s mp a lot of our other stuff here today, we can see that the WSO alpha portfolio is finally positive for the year. So always a great thing to see. We were already generating some actual alpha compared to our benchmark being the NASDAQ. Remember, we benchmarked to the NASDAQ because beating the SMP is just too easy. So we needed a bit more of a challenge here. Of course, that's why we benchmarked to the NASDAQ. We have risen about four basis points for the year. So not a terribly strong start, but certainly better than losing my retirement money like these apes seem to love to do. So yesterday we were up about 16 basis points.

NASDAQ was up nine basis points.

Bitcoin down about 1.75% of about 1.25%. So always interesting to be following the crypto market, but especially right now as these Bitcoin

ETFs and everything are on the verge of being approved.
