Taylor Swift has been named Time Magazine's 2023 person of the year, telling Time it felt like the breakthrough moment of her career.

The title goes to an event or person considered to have had the most influence on global events in the past year.

This year's Swift's Errors Tour broke box office records,

and she was named the most streamed female artist in the history of Spotify and Apple Music.

Swift beat other candidates, including China's president Xi Jinping,

Vladimir Putin and Barbie for the coveted cover.

Well, I mean, shout out to my very good friend, very good personal friend and reader of the Daily

Peel, obviously Taylor Swift, of course, winning the person of the year this year. It's about time.
