Harrison, there, Father Harrison, there are some things that seminary is helpful with if it's a good seminary.

I think it's helpful to hopefully help you grow a little bit in your spiritual life.

You should be more spiritual by the time you're done in seminary, right?

Just at least from practice, you have more time to pray, right?

You can get a good theological base, you know. Some guys even specialize in something and then grow their theological knowledge and scriptural knowledge. That's good. That's good. That's a good thing. Probably the most important thing is it helps you kind of understand yourself. What are your problems? Like fixing yourself to be a good human being so that you don't carry over any of your wounds

into other people when you're ordained, right? Knowing yourself, knowing your pitfalls. Yes. You're

going to be perfect when you come out of seminary. That's the whole point of seminary. Yeah,

be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. Exactly. But the one thing that seminary does not train you for is being a diocesan priest because

it's impossible.

It's kind of impossible.

And this is revealed to me more and more.

It's impossible.

Father Harrison, I'm not going to give it an exact timeline, but this is what has happened to me recently.

I walk into my church getting ready for 7 a.m. Mass, so I'm walking into there, you know, 645.

We have a great deacon. He gets everything set up for me, so I don't have to show up early. It's wonderful.

Okay. And I see some police cars outside the church. And that's, I mean, not, I thought there's a traffic stop or something.

Didn't think anything of it.

I'm not thinking well anyway.

It's too early in the morning for me to think.

Right.

I go to this accuracy and Deacon informs me that there's somebody acting odd.

And that's why the police were called and okay, whatever.
