This past week, my daughter came home, having taken the Meyer-Briggs personality test at school.

She is an IN-T-P, the logician, a category filled with lawyers, scientists, engineers, and architects.

I, on the other hand, am an INFJ, the advocate, a category filled mostly with counselors, teachers,

writers, and social workers. An INFP is the most creative personality type. An ENTJ is the CEO personality.

But as we were exploring the personality types, I was reminded again that we're all talented

and intelligent in our own way.

Some of us are better at reading the feelings of others.

Some of us are calm in the face of danger. Some of us are

good at math, some with words, and some with their hands. And some, like the woman at the center of our

case this week, see and appreciate light and color, shadow, and textures.

She had a unique ability to see beauty and meaning in the faces of strangers, in the sunlight

streaming down through the trees, in the busyness of the big city, and in the architecture

surrounding her. The world was one big canvas that she felt deeply

and saw in all its vivid intricacies. It was a vision she shared with the world through her

photography and art until the day she vanished without a trace.
