Summary

Neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart returns to share insights from her new book, Signs. After the death of her husband, Tara began experiencing profound synchronicities and communications from beyond that reshaped how she sees grief, love, and consciousness itself.

Together we explore the 34 hidden human senses science is beginning to uncover, how to discern real signs from coincidence, and why our names, dreams, and even scents hold deeper meaning than we realize. Tara bridges rigorous science with mystical experience, showing us how signs can offer healing, guidance, and connection with those we’ve lost.

I think most people have had a sense of knowing something that they can't explain why.

0:04.5

So my sense is that I believe we are so much more complex and sophisticated and capable than

0:10.7

we know.

0:11.7

I was married to a really wonderful man and unfortunately that marriage was cut short by his

0:17.1

death with leukemia.

0:18.9

If there was any way that someone who's passed away could send a sign to the person that

0:22.7

they loved, I know he would do it.

0:24.6

Part of that for me is a form of connection and communication with him that I feel transcends

0:31.2

life and death.

0:32.4

Even though I really believe in signs, this became so specific, so quick, so exact.

0:39.6

It took my breath away when I saw that and realized that. And so I started becoming very, very interested in the nature of consciousness

0:44.7

and what happens after we die. Things like coincidence and serendipity and synchronicity are

0:51.3

perhaps actually a huge form of evolution that we have so many more senses than

0:55.8

most people realize and if we're not even conscious of them then we're not actively tapping into

1:00.3

them i just think it opens up a very interesting curiosity about what more we're capable of

1:10.4
