Summary

Society has told us not to say, or even feel certain ways. But why? To be polite? To prevent conflict? The things that are taboo are both positive and negative. Addressing self-esteem issues from the past are frowned upon just as bragging is. But what happens if you ignore society and verbally confront your demons or cheer and praise your achievements? It's possible that it could propel you to new heights. Give it a try.

0:36.6	So in today's episode I'm going to share with you why announcing what you're great at will help propel your life into a new direction.

0:50.0	I don't know by you, but I had all these limiting beliefs and self-defeating stories that I had adopted throughout my life.
0:59.0	I can go way way back to some of the first memories I have with my father. First bad
1:07.8	memories. There's always good memories but you know we don't ever really
1:10.7	share. Unless it's social media we don't share the good memories
1:13.2	you know it's weird psychologically we hold on and give so much weight to the bad memories that we
1:18.3	don't ever give credit to the good ones at least that's in my story.
1:28.0	So I remember growing up up and it seemed like no matter what I ever did, it wasn't good enough for my father. Like going back to Pee Wee traveling soccer.
1:32.0	Like, I wasn't the best. a Peewee traveling soccer.
1:33.0	Like, I wasn't the best soccer player.
1:36.0	I was good. I could try out and make a traveling team.
1:39.0	I was probably, I was above average, but I wasn't world class. class I wasn't going to play for any
1:44.4	USA cup team or anything like that like I was just a soccer player but I was a kid
1:48.0	you know third grade playing traveling soccer.
1:56.0	And in that when my father would come home, he'd watch the games and
2:03.9	he would comment that I'd missed a ball or you know I was scared shitless to have to come off the field because I knew there was something I had messed up that I was going to hear about. I want to share, of
2:09.1	course he could have told me again five great things I did like man great block great side
2:14.1	tackle great whatever but the only thing I can ever remember him saying there are the
2:17.4	shots that I missed and the takeaways that I could have had.
