I'm on holidays.

Holidays, is that the same as vacation in Canada?

No, I prefer to use the word holiday over vacation.

It's like it's like me calling my Monday my day of rest rather than my day off.

It's all around the idea of proper leisure and rest.

A holiday, like a vacation sounds like a break from your work, as if priest is just a job.

While a holiday is a time of intentional rest and relaxation and leisure.

So that's, yeah, so I'm on holiday.

It's not that we can, you know, not,

there's not a whole lot to do right now.

I'm trying to play it pretty safe.

So I'm staying at our cathedral for the moment.

And just for a few days,

then I'll go visit my buddy father,

David, up and Courtney for a few days.

They're kind of in my bubble.

And then I'll be back at the parish on Friday.

Just needed a break.

You know, it's a, I think, and just hearing from friends and stuff,

it's a pretty stressful time for everyone right now.

So having a little break from checking my emails, doing parish administration,

preparing a weekend homily, not having to prepare a weekend homily has been actually the nicest, uh, perk of this all.
